Ingredients of Shahi paneer

  1. You need 3 tbsp of butter.
  2. You need of Few whole spices.
  3. It’s 2 of cardamom.
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  5. You need 1 of sliced onion.
  6. You need 1 of tomato.
  7. It’s 1 inch of ginger.
  8. Prepare 4 of garlic pods.
  9. You need 10 of cashews or any nuts.
  10. You need 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chili powder.
  11. It’s 1 tsp of garam masala.
  12. You need 1/4 of cumin powder.
  13. You need 4 of Saffron strands.
  14. It’s 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  15. You need of Salt as per taste.
  16. Prepare 200 g of Paneer.
  17. You need 1 tsp of kasuri methi.
  18. Prepare 1/4 cup of cream.
  19. You need of Nut meg(optional).

Shahi paneer instructions

  1. In a pan, add 1 tbsp butter,2 clove,1 cinnamon,1 cardamom,bay leaves, 1 sliced onion, 2 tomato, 1 inch ginger, 4 garlic pods and saute for 10 mins..
  2. Soak the cashews in hot water for 10 mins. Add it to the onion mixture,cook for 2 mins. Cool down completely and grind it to smooth paste..
  3. In a wide pan, add 2 tbsp of butter/ghee, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1 clove,1 cinnamon, ground paste and saute until oil separates..
  4. Add all the masala powder, salt,little water and mix well. Cut the paneer pieces into small cubes and put it into the gravy. Close the lid and cook for 5-8 mins..
  5. Add cream and cook for 2 mins. Once the gravy thickens, Add crushed kasuri Methi,ground nut meg powder,saffron strands and switch off the flame..
  6. Now the most delicious creamy Shahi paneer is ready to be served with Butter naan or parota 😋😋.
